Kent Tate: Sensors Preview: Moving Images & Music - Kent Tate 8:30   CV

For many years I've focused on the semi-deserts, deep valleys, and vast plateaus in the interior of British Columbia. During this time over 25000 square kilometres of land was destroyed during two record breaking wildfire seasons.

The first half of 2018 was mild and wet with light conditions that were often ideal for filming. As satisfying as that was I remained haunted by memories of the wildfires from the year before. I would wonder what the sentient beings I saw in each frame felt and if they too were weary of what might come next.
